Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do meets once each week from 3:15 - 4:15 pm. This activity is open to students in Kindergarten through grade 9. Martial Arts improves a lot more than just kicks! It helps students build confidence, provides discipline, teaches self-defense, encourages physical fitness, aids in concentration and develops respect. On top of all this, students love participating in this activity because it is FUN! To sign up for after school for tae kwon do, contact the school office. (additional fee)

Upper School Extracurricular Activities

All upper school students are encouraged to take a positive role in their day to day extra curricular activities. The student government constitution was written by an executive committee in the fall of 2000, and after some modifications was ratified by the student body the following winter. The upper school student government consists of a president , a vice president in charge of the activity committee, a vice president in charge of community service (Service League), a secretary, and a treasurer, all elected in the spring. Class representatives are elected the following fall. The elected student leaders assist the administration in setting community tone and spirit.

Members of the student body interested in maintaining community honor and integrity may be interviewed and selected to serve on wither the honor or discipline committee. Such students talk with upper school students whose behavior leads them away form the community honor code and or day-to-day disciplinary guidelines.

Members of upper school are encouraged to join activity committee, service league, sounding board athletic association, newspaper, literary magazine, computer club, improv club, equity board, or admissions representatives.

Our extracurricular activities reflect the varied interests of our student body. Students are encouraged to create clubs under the auspices of a faculty advisor.
